Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the rear wiper arm (5).
2. Remove the rear wiper motor drive shaft nut (6).
3. Remove the washer (7) and seal (8) from the wiper motor drive shaft.




4. Remove the liftgate trim panel.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the rear wiper motor.
6. Remove the rear wiper motor screws.
7. Remove the rear wiper motor (3) from the liftgate (5).
8. Remove the rear wiper motor from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the rear wiper motor (3) to the liftgate.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the rear wiper motor screws.

Tighten the screws to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the wiper motor.




4. Install the washer (7) and seal (8) onto the rear wiper motor drive shaft.
5. Install the rear wiper motor drive shaft nut (6).

Tighten the nut to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

6. Install the rear wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement.
7. Inspect rear wiper for proper operation.
8. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement.
