LNF Engine Control Module (ECM) Will Not Properly Communicate On-Board Diagnostic Misfire Counter Information to Non-Tech 2(R) Service or Test Equipment

with ECOTEC(R) 2.0L I-4 Turbocharged Engine (VIN X - RPO LNF)
Some customers and/or General Motors dealership/Saturn retailers may have noticed that the vehicle's engine cannot be properly serviced or tested using non-Tech 2(R) (generic) service or test equipment.
When requested by non-Tech 2(R) (generic) service or test equipment, the cylinder specific misfire counter information displayed may not match the cylinder which has experienced misfire.
The chart shown should be used to properly match cylinder specific misfire counts to the cylinder which has experience misfire when using non-Tech 2(R) (generic) service or test equipment.
