58. Engine Block Plug Installation



Engine Block Plug Installation





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install the knock sensor (720).

Tighten the knock sensor to 31 N.m (23 lb ft).




2. Install the restrictor (431) and NEW O-ring (430).
3. Install the right side washer (112), fitting (111) and drain plug (110).

1. Tighten the fitting to 39.2 N.m (28.9 lb ft).
2. Tighten the drain plug to 9.8 N.m (87 lb in).




4. Install the restrictor (431) and NEW O-ring (430).
5. Install the left side washer (114) and drain plug (113).

Tighten the drain plug to 78.5 N.m (57.9 lb ft).




6. Install the block coolant heater and washer, if applicable.

Tighten the heater to 60 N.m (44 lb ft).
