Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (3.5L (L66))

Removal Procedure




1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the front lower air deflector.




3. Disconnect the O2 sensors (1, 2).
4. Remove the exhaust manifold pipe.
5. Remove the converter nuts.
6. Position the radiator assembly forward enough for the converter removal clearance.




7. Remove the catalytic converter.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the catalytic converter.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the converter nuts.

Tighten the nuts to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

3. Move the radiator assembly to its original position.
4. Install the exhaust manifold pipe.




5. Connect the O2 sensors (1, 2).




6. Install the front lower air deflector.
7. Lower the vehicle.
