Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (3.5L (L66))

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.




2. Remove the front lower air deflector.




3. Disconnect the oxygen sensor (O2S) electrical connectors (1, 2).
4. Remove the exhaust manifold pipe.
5. Remove the catalytic converter bracket.
6. Remove the catalytic converter nuts.
7. Remove the catalytic converter.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the catalytic converter.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the catalytic converter nuts.

Tighten the nuts to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

3. Install the catalytic converter bracket and bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

4. Install the exhaust manifold pipe.




5. Connect the O2S electrical connectors (1, 2).
6. Install the front lower air deflector.
7. Lower the vehicle.
