Torque Converter Assembly Removal

Tools Required

DT 46411 6 mm T-Handles




1. Using DT 46411, remove the torque converter assembly (53).
2. Inspect the following:
* External damage
* Metal particles found after flushing the oil cooler and lines
* External leaks in the hub wells area
* The torque converter pilot is damaged or fits poorly into the crankshaft
* Internal failure of the stator roller clutch
* Contamination from engine coolant
* Excessive end play
