Rearview Mirror Support Installation (without Rainsensor)

Removal Procedure





1. Detach the inside rearview mirror.
Unlock the mirror downward and remove.
2. Clean the windshield in the area to be cemented with glass cleaner.
3. Place the masking tape around the area on windshield where the retaining plate is to be cemented.
Gently sand the retaining plate (grain P100) and clean.



Installation Procedure

1. Affix the retaining plate.

* Mix the 2-component adhesive GM P/N 89021329 (Canadian P/N 89020893) in accordance with the instructions and apply to the retaining plate approximately 1 mm (0.039 in) thick.
* Only press the retaining plate lightly onto the windshield.

2. Attach the interior rearview mirror.
3. Replace the mirror and listen for the click.
