Front Seat Head Restraint Adjust Rod Guide Replacement (Standard)

Removal Procedure


Important: The damaged head restraint guide sleeves must be replaced.


1. Front seat head restraint.




2. Remove the headrest.
Remove the head restraint from the guide sleeve (1, 2) and remove upwards.

Important: Position I shows the lug to the right of the head restraint guide sleeve which must be pushed in for removal.


3. Remove the head restraint guide sleeve (1).

* Push the guide sleeve (1) upwards with a suitable tool, e.g. pointed pliers, and compress both lugs (2) upwards with a screwdriver at the same time.
* Pull the guide sleeves upwards off the front seat backrest.




Installation Procedure

1. Push the guide sleeve into the front seat backrest until it engages.
2. Install the front seat head restraint.
Engage the head restraint with an audible click.
