Engine Oil Control Valve: Service and Repair



Oil Pressure Relief Valve Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the oil pressure relief valve.
Remove the closure bolt (1).
2. Remove the spring and the piston.
3. Clean the parts.
4. Inspect the parts.
5. Clean the thread.



Installation Procedure

1. Install the oil pressure relief valve.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the spring and piston in the pump module together with the closure bolt.

Tighten the closure bolt to 21 N.m (16 lb ft).
