Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the driver door.
2. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .




3. Disconnect the wiring harness plug (1).
Remove the wiring harness plug in the direction of the arrow.
4. Remove the accelerator pedal position sensor.
Remove and discard the 3 nuts (2).



Installation Procedure


Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

1. Install the accelerator pedal position sensor.
Use NEW nuts.

Tighten the 3 nuts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

2. Install the wiring harness plug.
3. Install the I/P insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Close the driver door.
