Information on AF17-4 (MNF) Automatic Transmission - Serviceable Control Valve Body Assembly for TCM DTCs P0730 or P0780 Now Available
Models:
2008-2009 Saturn Astra
Equipped with Aisin(R) AF17-4 Automatic Transmission (RPO MNF)
This bulletin is intended to inform technicians that a serviceable control valve body assembly is now available for the Aisin(R) AF17-4 automatic transmission.
DO NOT replace the transmission assembly for the following DTCs:
^ DTC P0730: Incorrect Gear Ratio
^ DTC P0780: Incorrect Shift Pattern
Refer to Diagnostic Information and Procedures in SI for DTCs P0730 or P0780. If circuit/system testing indicates that a control valve body assembly replacement is necessary, then replace the valve body assembly with P/N 93192038. Two transmission case washers will also be needed (P/N 90348723).
