Object Alarm Module Replacement (PAS)

Removal Procedure

1. When replacing the control unit, before removing the control unit, carry out a "Reset" using the Tech 2. For reprogramming procedures, refer to Control Module References (Programming and Relearning) .
2. Disconnect the battery.
3. Open the service flap.




4. Disconnect the wiring harness plug for the rear electronics module (REC).

* Disconnect the 6 wiring harness plugs (1).
* Unlock and detach.

5. Release the rear electronics module (REC).
Remove the nut (arrow).
6. Remove the REC.
Release the object alarm module.
7. Remove the object alarm module (2).

* Disconnect the 2 wiring harness plugs.
* Remove the object alarm module.




Installation Procedure

1. Install the object alarm module.

* Insert the object alarm module.
* Connect the 2 wiring harness plugs.

2. Insert the REC.
Install the object alarm module.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

3. Connect the REC.

Tighten the nut to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

4. Connect the wiring harness plug for the rear electronics module (REC).
Connect the 6 wiring harness plugs.
5. Close the service flap.
6. Connect the battery.
7. For reprogramming procedures, refer to Control Module References (Programming and Relearning) .
