Inflatable Restraint Front End Sensor Replacement - Right Side

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution (Battery Disconnect Caution) .
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Wait 1 minute for the airbag to deactivate.




3. Remove the resonator.

* Remove the bolt (2).
* Remove the resonator (1) from the guide (arrow).





4. Remove the airbag sensor.

* Remove the 2 bolts (1).
* Disconnect the wiring harness plug and remove the sensor.




Installation Procedure


Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

1. Install the airbag sensor.
Insert the sensor and connect the wiring harness plug.

Tighten the 2 bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

2. Install the resonator.
Insert the resonator into the guide.

Tighten the bolt to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

3. Connect the battery.

Tighten the bolt to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

4. Perform the readiness inspection.
5. For programming procedures, refer to Control Module References (Programming and Relearning) .
