Inflatable Restraint Front End Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution (Battery Disconnect Caution) .
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Wait 1 minute for the airbag to deactivate.
3. Remove the upper radiator grille. Refer to Front Bumper Upper Fascia Grille Replacement (Front Bumper Upper Fascia Grille Replacement) .




4. Remove the airbag sensor.

* Loosen the 2 bolts (1).
* Remove the airbag sensor from the guide.
* Disconnect the wiring harness plug (2).




Installation Procedure

1. Install the airbag sensor.

* Connect the wiring harness plug.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

* Insert the airbag sensor in the guide.

Tighten the 2 bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).


2. Install the upper radiator grille. Refer to Front Bumper Upper Fascia Grille Replacement (Front Bumper Upper Fascia Grille Replacement) .
3. Connect the battery.
4. For programming procedures, refer to Control Module References (Programming and Relearning) .
