Front Axle Shaft Seal Replacement


Special Tools
* KM-446 Installer Drift
* KM-557-A /KM-557-2 Remover



Removal Procedure

1. Remove the axle shaft. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement (Service and Repair) .





Important: Do not damage the sealing surfaces.


2. Remove the axle shaft seal ring.
Remove the axle shaft seal ring with KM-557-A (2) and KM-557-2 (1).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the axle shaft seal ring.

* Coat the axle shaft seal ring with transmission fluid.
* Install the axle shaft seal ring flush with KM-446 (1).

2. Install the axle shaft. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement (Service and Repair) .
3. Inspect the transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check (Transmission Fluid Check) .
