Engine Flywheel Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the manual transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement (Transmission Only) (Transmission Replacement (Transmission Only))Transmission Replacement (Engine and Transmission) (Transmission Replacement (Engine and Transmission)) .
2. Remove the thrust plate and clutch disc. Refer to Clutch, Pressure Plate, and Pilot Bearing Replacement (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the flywheel.

* Lock the flywheel via the starter ring gear with L0009466 (1).
* Remove the 6 bolts.




Installation Procedure

1. Install the flywheel.

* Clean the thread in the crankshaft.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

* Use new bolts.

Tighten the 6 bolts to 35 N.m (26 lb ft) plus 30 degrees plus 15 degrees.

* Remove L0009466 .

2. Install the thrust plate and clutch disc. Refer to Clutch, Pressure Plate, and Pilot Bearing Replacement (Service and Repair) .
3. Install the manual transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement (Transmission Only) (Transmission Replacement (Transmission Only))Transmission Replacement (Engine and Transmission) (Transmission Replacement (Engine and Transmission)) .
