Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air inlet screen. Refer to Air Inlet Screen Replacement (Air Inlet Screen Replacement) .




2. Remove the bolts (1) securing the windshield wiper transmission to the vehicle.




3. Disconnect the electrical connections to the windshield wiper motor.
4. Remove the windshield wiper transmission assembly from the vehicle.
5. Remove the windshield wiper motor from the windshield wiper transmission. Refer to Windshield Wiper System Module Replacement (Windshield Wiper System Module Replacement) .



Installation Procedure





1. Install the windshield wiper motor to the windshield wiper transmission. Refer to Windshield Wiper System Module Replacement (Windshield Wiper System Module Replacement) .
2. Position the windshield wiper transmission assembly to the vehicle.
3. Connect the electrical connections to the windshield wiper motor.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

4. Tighten the windshield wiper transmission bolts (1).

Tighten the bolts to 7.5 N.m (66 lb in).

5. Install the air inlet screen. Refer to Air Inlet Screen Replacement (Air Inlet Screen Replacement) .
