Drive Belt: Service and Repair



Drive Belt Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer toAir Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the engine mount strut. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Install a breaker bar to the drive belt tensioner.
4. Rotate the drive belt tensioner counterclockwise to release the spring tension.
5. Remove the drive belt, if equipped with hydraulic power steering.




6. Remove the drive belt, if equipped with hydraulic power steering.



Installation Procedure





1. Install a breaker bar to the drive belt tensioner.
2. Rotate the drive belt tensioner counterclockwise to release the spring tension.
3. Route and install the drive belt, if equipped with hydraulic power steering.




4. Route and install the drive belt, if equipped with electric power steering.
5. Install the engine mount strut. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair).
