Parking Brake Indicator Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Place the park brake lever in the released position.
2. Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement (Service and Repair).




4. Disconnect the park brake warning lamp switch electrical connector (1).




5. Remove the park brake warning lamp switch (1) by compressing the locking tabs.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the park brake warning lamp switch (1).
Ensure the switch is properly positioned and the locking tabs are fully deployed.




2. Connect the park brake warning lamp switch electrical connector (1).
3. Install the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
