Hybrid Battery Service Disconnect/Connect

Removal Procedure




1. Review the high voltage safety information prior to performing the High Voltage Disabling. Refer to High Voltage Safety (High Voltage Safety).
2. Perform the High Voltage Disabling procedure. Refer to High Voltage Disabling (High Voltage Disabling).
3. Disconnect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (HP5) (Service and Repair)
4. Lift the rear compartment floor stowage access cover.
5. Slide the service disconnect (1) to the unlatched position.




6. Wait 5 seconds then pull up to remove the service disconnect (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the service connect (1).




2. Slide the service connect (1) to the latched position.
3. Perform the High Voltage Enabling procedure. Refer to High Voltage Enabling (High Voltage Enabling)
