Condenser HVAC: Testing and Inspection

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT CONDENSER WITH RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
a. If the fins of the condenser are dirty, clean them with water. Dry the fins with compressed air.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the condenser.

b. If a fin of the condenser is bent, use a screwdriver or pliers to straighten it.

2. CHECK CONDENSER FOR LEAKAGE OF REFRIGERANT
a. Using a gas leak detector, check the pipe joints for gas leakage.

If gas leakage is detected in a joint, check the torque of the joint.
