Key Reminder Warning System

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

CHECK KEY REMINDER WARNING SYSTEM

Check that the key reminder warning buzzer functions.

1. Close the driver side door and insert the key into the ignition key cylinder.

HINT: The ignition switch must be OFF.

2. Open the driver side door.
3. Check that the key reminder warning buzzer sounds intermittently.
4. While the buzzer is sounding, perform one of the following operations:
- Close the driver side door (front door courtesy light switch is off).
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Pull out the key from the ignition key cylinder.

5. Check that the key reminder warning buzzer stops sounding.
