2AZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
NOTE: Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or jammed when installing.





(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the sensor.






(b) Install the sensor with the bolt.
Torque: 9.0 Nm (90 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf)
(c) Connect the sensor connector.
2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP Installation

3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
4. CHECK FOR ENGINE OIL LEAKAGE
5. INSTALL ENGINE COVER Installation

6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Testing and Inspection.
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
