2AZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR






(a) Install a new gasket onto the sensor.
(b) Using SST, install the sensor.
SST: 09817-33190
Torque: 19.6 Nm (200 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf)
(c) Connect the sensor connector.
2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
3. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Testing and Inspection

4. CHECK FOR COOLANT LEAKAGE Testing and Inspection

5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Testing and Inspection.
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
