SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
CAUTION: Be sure to read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing it Service Precautions.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (Manual Transaxle) Removal

3. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE UPPER PANEL ASSEMBLY Removal

4. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER REAR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY Removal







6. REMOVE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the airbag sensor connectors.
(b) Remove the 3 bolts and airbag sensor.
