2AZ-FE EMISSION CONTROL: EXHAUST MANIFOLD CONVERTER: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
2. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD INSULATOR Removal

3. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR Removal

4. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.






(b) Remove the 4 bolts and 2 compression springs and remove the front exhaust pipe assembly.
5. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD CONVERTER SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the bolt and nut and remove the manifold stay.






(b) Remove the bolt and nut and remove the No. 2 manifold stay.






(c) Remove the 5 nuts and remove the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly.






(d) Remove the 4 bolts and remove the No. 1 exhaust manifold converter heat insulator.






(e) Remove the 2 bolts and remove the No. 2 exhaust manifold heat insulator.
