2ZR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY






(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it onto the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly (for intake camshaft side).
NOTE: Do not twist the O-ring.





(b) Install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly with the bolt (for intake camshaft side).
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
(c) Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly connector (for intake camshaft side).






(d) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it onto the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly (for exhaust camshaft side).
NOTE: Do not twist the O-ring.





(e) Install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly with the bolt (for exhaust camshaft side).
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
(f) Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly connector (for exhaust camshaft side).






(g) Install the wire harness bracket with the bolt.
Torque: 8.4 Nm (85 kgf-cm, 74 in-lbf)
