Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection





AIR CONDITIONING: AIR CONDITIONING PRESSURE SENSOR: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT PRESSURE SENSOR

(a) Check the wire harness.

(1) Disconnect the connector of the pressure sensor.

(2) Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:





(3) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(4) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

Standard voltage:





(b) Check the pressure sensor.

(1) Set the manifold gauge.

(2) Connect the connector to the pressure sensor.

(3) Warm up the engine.

(4) Switch A/C ON.

(5) Using a voltmeter, measure the voltage between connector terminals 6 (PRE) and 11 (SG-1) of the air conditioner amplifier.

HINT
Check from the rear of the connector while it is connected to the air conditioning amplifier.
