1NR-FE ENGINE CONTROL: CAMSHAFT OIL CONTROL VALVE: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY

(a) for Exhaust Side:

(1) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

(2) Install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly with the bolt.

Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
* If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace it.
* Make sure that the O-ring is not damaged or does not jump out of position during installation.

(3) Connect the connector of the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

(b) for Intake Side:

(1) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

(2) Install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly with the bolt.

Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
* If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace it.
* Make sure that the O-ring is not damaged or does not jump out of position during installation.

(3) Connect the connector of the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

2. INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK

(a) Start the engine and check that there are no oil leaks.
