1NR-FE ENGINE CONTROL: IGNITION COIL AND SPARK PLUG: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY

Removal

2. REMOVE NO. 1 IGNITION COIL

(a) Disengage the clamp and disconnect the wire harness from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.





(b) Disconnect the connectors of the 4 No. 1 ignition coils.

(c) Remove the 4 bolts and the 4 No. 1 ignition coils from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

NOTICE:
If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace it.

3. REMOVE SPARK PLUG

(a) Using a 14 mm spark plug wrench, remove the 4 spark plugs from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
