BRAKE CONTROL: STEERING ANGLE SENSOR: REMOVAL

CAUTION:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing Service Precautions.

1. TURN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.

3. REMOVE STEERING PAD Removal

4. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN LOWER COVER Removal

6. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN UPPER COVER Removal

7. REMOVE SPIRAL CABLE Removal

8. REMOVE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR

(a) Disengage the 6 claws and 2 pins, and remove the steering angle sensor from the spiral cable.
