Installation

INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL: INSTALLATION; 2013 MY FR-S [03/2012 -]

1. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connectors.

(b) Engage the 12 claws.

(c) Install the lower instrument panel sub-assembly with the 2 screws and nut.

2. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR DAMPER

(a) Engage the claw to install the glove compartment door damper.

3. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Horizontally engage the 2 hinges of the outer glove compartment door.

NOTICE:
Make sure to install the glove compartment door assembly hinges horizontally.

(b) Engage the 2 stoppers to install the glove compartment door assembly.

(c) Engage the claw to install the glove compartment door damper.

4. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

5. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL METER ORNAMENT

(a) Connect the connector.

(b) Engage the 2 claws that are holding the upper instrument panel meter ornament and steering column cover together.

(c) Engage the 2 clips and 6 claws.

(d) Install the upper instrument panel meter ornament with the screw.

6. INSTALL METER HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 12 claws.

(b) Install the meter hood sub-assembly with the screw.

7. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH

(a) Engage the 4 clips and claw to install the instrument side panel RH.

8. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

9. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY Installation

10. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

(a) Engage the 3 claws.

(b) Install the upper instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly with the screw.

11. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH

(a) Engage the 6 claws.

(b) Install the No. 1 instrument cluster finish panel garnish with the screw.

12. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

13. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

14. INSTALL STEREO OPENING COVER WITH BRACKET

(a) Install the stereo opening cover with bracket with the 4 screws.

15. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 4 clips and 2 claws to install the center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

16. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

Installation

17. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque : 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm, 53 in-lbf)
