Disassembly

SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: DISASSEMBLY; 2013 MY FR-S [03/2012 -]

1. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.

2. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE (for Driver Side)

(a) Remove the screw and vertical adjusting handle.

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Disengage the 4 claws, 5 guides and clip to remove the front seat cushion shield.

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and 4 guides to remove the front seat inner cushion shield.

5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side) Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side) Removal

7. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 2 hooks.

(b) Disconnect the rubber band of the separate type front seatback cover.

(d) Disconnect the front seat heater connector and disengage the clamp. (w/ Seat Heater System)

(e) Disengage the claw and 4 clamps to separate the front seat airbag assembly wire harness.

(f) Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 4 bolts and separate type front seatback assembly.

8. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

(a) Remove the 5 hog rings.

(b) Open the 2 fasteners.

(e) Remove the nut and the 3 brackets.

(f) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.

(g) Remove the separate type front seatback cover with pad from front seatback frame assembly.

9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Remove the 14 hog rings and separate type front seatback cover from the separate type front seatback pad.

11. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

(a) Disconnect the occupant classification sensor connector. (for passenger side)

(b) Disengage the claw and 3 clamps to separate the front seat heater wire harness. (w/ Seat Heater System)

(c) Disengage each hook and remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad from separate type front seat cushion frame assembly. (for Driver Side)

(d) Disengage each hook and remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad from separate type front seat cushion frame assembly. (for Passenger Side)

12. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Remove the 2 hog rings.

(b) Remove the 12 hog rings and the separate type front seat cushion cover from the separate type front seat cushion pad.

13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Disengage the hook.

(c) Disengage the clip and remove the front seat lower cushion shield LH.

14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Driver Side)

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Disengage the 3 claws to remove the front seat cushion edge protector LH.

16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

17. REMOVE SEAT TRACK ADJUSTING HANDLE

(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 springs to remove the seat track adjusting handle from separate type front seat cushion frame assembly.

18. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE BAND

(a) Remove the screw and reclining adjuster release band.

19. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR

(a) Disengage the 2 claws to remove the seat cushion edge protector.

HINT
Use the same procedure for both the 2 seat cushion edge protectors.

20. REMOVE SEAT TRACK LOWER RAIL PROTECTOR

(a) Disengage the 2 claws to remove the seat track lower rail protector.

Use the same procedure for both the 2 seat track lower rail protectors.
