1. DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT SYSTEM

(a) The daytime running light system is designed to automatically illuminate the high beam headlights*1, taillights, clearance lights and license plate lights during the daytime to make the vehicle more visible to other vehicles.

* This system is controlled by the main body ECU (network gateway ECU).

* This system is enabled when the following conditions are met:

* Ignition switch is ON.

* Shift lever is other than in P*2.

* Parking brake switch is off.

* Engine speed signal is input (engine running).

* The light control switch is in off or the tail position (when the light control switch is in off, the taillights, clearance lights and license plate lights do not come on).

* Ignition switch is ACC.
