Operation Check

LIGHTING (EXT): LIGHTING SYSTEM: OPERATION CHECK; 2013 MY FR-S [03/2012 -]

1. DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK

(a) Start the engine.

(b) Shift lever is other than in P*1.

(c) Release the parking brake.

(d) Turn the light control switch to the off.

(e) Ignition switch ON.

(f) Check that the high beam headlights*2 and taillights come on (when the light control switch is in off, the taillights do not come on).

* *1: for Automatic Transmission

* *2: Brightness of the headlights is decreased.

2. INSPECT BATTERY SAVER

(a) Remove the key from ignition switch, turn the light control switch to HEAD to illuminate the headlights.

(b) Check that the headlights and taillights turn off when the light control switch remain in the same condition for 20 minutes.
