Removal
FA20 ENGINE CONTROL: ECM: REMOVAL; 2013 MY FR-S [03/2012 -]
NOTICE:
If the ECM or ECM bracket needs to be removed, replace the ECM bracket with a new one.
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL Removal
2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH Removal
3. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY Removal
4. REMOVE CONTROL UNIT RELAY ASSEMBLY Removal
5. REMOVE ECM
(a) Disconnect the 4 connectors from the ECM.
(b) Remove the 2 nuts and the ECM.
NOTICE:
If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace it.
6. REMOVE ECM BRACKET
(a) Disengage the 2 claws, and remove the ECM bracket.
