1. SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

(a) Driver seat belt warning light:

When the ignition switch is ON and the driver seat belt is not fastened, the front seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly will flash, warning the driver. The combination meter assembly displays both the driver seat belt status and the vehicle speed.

(b) Front passenger seat belt warning light:

When the ignition switch is ON and a passenger is on the front seat, but the front passenger seat belt is not fastened, the front seat belt warning light inside the telltale light assembly will flash. The combination meter assembly notifies the front passenger seat belt status and front passenger seating status.

(c) Seat belt warning buzzer:

After turning the ignition switch is ON, check that if the driver seat belt is not fastened within 1.8 seconds, the seat belt warning buzzer on the combination meter assembly sounds at an interval of 1.2 seconds for 6 seconds.

When a front passenger is seated and the vehicle speed is 20 km/h (12.5 mph) or more while either the driver or front passenger seat belts are not fastened, then the seat belt warning buzzer on the combination meter assembly will sound once.

When 30 seconds have elapsed since the buzzer started sounding, the seat belt warning buzzer on the combination meter assembly will sound at an interval of 1.2 seconds for 30 seconds.

After this, the seat belt warning buzzer on the combination meter assembly will sound at an interval of 0.4 seconds for 90 seconds.
