AXLE AND DIFFERENTIAL: FRONT AXLE HUB: INSTALLATION; 2013 MY FR-S [03/2012 -]

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the front axle hub sub-assembly to the steering knuckle with the 4 new bolts.

Torque : 65 Nm (663 kgf-cm, 48 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
* Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter between the steering knuckle.
* Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter between the front axle hub sub-assembly.

2. INSPECT FRONT AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS Front Axle Hub

3. INSPECT FRONT AXLE HUB RUNOUT Front Axle Hub

4. INSTALL FRONT SPEED SENSOR LH

(a) Install the bolt and speed sensor front to the steering knuckle.

Torque : 7.5 Nm (77 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)

NOTICE:
Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter between the steering knuckle and the front disc brake dust cover.

5. INSTALL FRONT DISC Installation

6. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY Replacement

7. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

Torque : 120 Nm (1224 kgf-cm, 89 ft-lbf)

8. INSPECT SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
