A/C - Compressor Bracket Loose

UPPER COMPRESSOR BRACKET
The air conditioner compressor used in the 1983 Subaru air conditioner kit (SOA 204 083) is packaged with the upper compressor bracket left loose. This facilitates the mounting of the compressor into the vehicle. See Figure 1.
After installing the compressor and the bracket onto the vehicle, be sure to tighten the two (2) bolts (10 mm x 30 mm) to the correct torque of 17 to 26 ft.lbs.
