Drive Belt: Adjustments

Belt Tension:

1. Loosen tension pulley bolts.
2. Adjust so that belt deflection is correct when measured midway between tension pulley and compressor.
3. Tighten lower mounting bolt, then upper bolt, to 17 - 29 ftlb ( 24 - 39 Nm).

BELT DEFLECTION
0.47 - 0.59 in (12 - 15 mm) @ 22 lb (10 kg)

NOTE: When installing a new belt, adjust tension, run engine for 5 minutes, and readjust to compensate for initial stretch.
