FIGURE 1:

A modified automatic antenna has been used in production for XT models since January, 1986 starting with VIN 310452 and after. The automatic antenna shut off system has been changed from a timer to a limit switch.



The attached automatic antenna troubleshooting chart should be added to the 1986 Subaru Service Manual section 6-3, page 226 for diagnosing an automatic antenna with the limit switch.
