Turn Signal Switch: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove steering wheel trim pad.
3. Mark installation position of steering wheel.
4. Remove steering wheel retaining nut.
5. Using a suitable puller, separate steering wheel from steering shaft.
6. Remove screws securing lower steering column cover and the cover.
7. Remove steering column upper mounting screws and pull down on column as needed, then remove upper column cover.
8. Release switch harness retaining straps and remove combination switch mounting screws.
9. Disconnect electrical connectors and remove combination switch assembly.
10. Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a. On models equipped with key interlock, do not position combination switch harness over key interlock release knob. Ensure release knob is accessible after installing lower column cover.
