Wiper Motor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove cowl cover retaining plugs, then pull back cover.
3. Disconnect wiper motor electrical connector.
4. Remove wiper motor mounting bolts.
5. Remove fasteners securing transmission, disconnect transmission and remove wiper motor.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Torque transmission mounting bolts to 4.7-6.9 ft. lbs., transmission to motor mounting nut to 16-22 ft. lbs., and wiper motor retaining bolts to 3.3-5.4 ft. lbs.
