^ Problems in the electronic controlled automatic transmission may be caused by engine failure, the electronic control system, transmission component problems, or by a combination of these.

^ Troubleshooting should begin with simple and easy operations and then proceed to complicated and more difficult operations. When troubleshooting the transmission system, refer to Fig. 2, the general troubleshooting chart.
