How to Read Flashing Trouble Code
The CHECK ENGINE lamp flashes the code(s) corresponding to the faulty part.
Reading Check Engine Lamp Flash Codes:
The long segment (1.2 sec on) indicates a "ten", and the short segment (0.2 sec on) signifies a "one". In the illustration above, codes 12 and 21 are used as examples.
