Compressor Clutch Relay: Description and Operation

A/C Switch And Relay:

PURPOSE
In addition to responding to the A/C switch to turn the air conditioning compressor "ON," the A/C relay has a cut function controlled by the ECU. This enables the ECU to turn the compressor "OFF" when it receives a "full throttle" signal from the throttle sensor, ensuring maximum availability of engine power for acceleration. A faulty A/C cut relay does not set a trouble code.
