Problems in the electronic controlled automatic transmission may be caused by failure of the engine, the electronic control system, transmission components or by any combination of these. Troubleshooting should be started with simple and easy operations then proceeding to complicated and more difficult operations. When troubleshooting the transmission system, refer to Fig. 2, for the general troubleshooting chart.
