Fuel Filter: Description and Operation
PURPOSE/OPERATION Filters dirt and sediment, and to some extent, separates water from the fuel. The
fuel filter uses a pressure withstanding, cartridge design with the filter element built into the metal case. Fuel flows from the perimeter of the element to the interior of the filter, then to the fuel injection rails.
