Ignition Coil: Testing and Inspection
INSPECTIONUsing accurate tester, inspect the following items, and replace it defective.
CAUTION: It the resistance is extremely low, this indicates the presence of a short-circuit.
1. Primary resistance
Between (1) and (2) 0.69 Ohms ± 10%
Between (3) and (4) 0.69 Ohms ± 10%
2. Secondary coil resistance
Between No. 1 and No. 2 21.0 K Ohms ± 15%
Between No. 2 and No. 3 21.0 K Ohms ± 15%
3. Insulation between primary terminal and case: 10 M Ohms or more.
