Canister Purge Control Valve: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.





2. Remove air cleaner assembly and air intake duct (A) and (B) as a unit. (2200 cc California spec. vehicles)

2500 CC:

3. Remove air intake chamber and air intake duct as a unit. (Except 2200 cc California spec. vehicles and 2500 cc Model)





4. Remove bolt which installs purge control solenoid valve to intake manifold.
5. Take out purge control solenoid valve.
6. Disconnect connector from purge control solenoid valve.





7. Disconnect vacuum hoses from purge control solenoid valve.

2200 CC:

2500 CC:

8. Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Torque: 15.7 ± 1.5 Nm (11.6 ± 1.1 ft.lb)

CAUTION: Carefully connect the evaporation hoses.
